Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · Last updated —
These Terms govern your use of LeagueWaves ("the service"), provided by LeagueWaves, LLC, a California limited liability company. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Who may use LeagueWaves
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account. Accounts are for adults — league organizers, coaches, parents/guardians, and adult volunteers. You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your password confidential. Children do not create their own independent accounts or use the service directly.
Minor volunteers (guardian-operated accounts). A minor may take part in a league as a volunteer (for example, a youth referee or greeter) only through an account set up and operated by their parent or guardian. If you operate an account on behalf of a minor volunteer, you agree to these Terms on your own behalf, you consent to the minor's participation, you are responsible for that participation and for all activity under the account, and you will receive communications on the minor's behalf. The minor does not sign in or use the service directly.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the service lawfully and only for operating and participating in youth-sports leagues. You will not misuse the service, attempt to access data you are not authorized to see, disrupt the service, upload harmful content, or use the service to harass or endanger anyone. Because the service involves children — including minors who may participate as volunteers through a guardian-operated account — you agree to handle all information with care and to use it only for legitimate league purposes.
Your content and data
You retain your information. You grant us the limited permission needed to host and process it to provide the service. If you are a league organizer, you are responsible for having the appropriate authority and consents to enter the information you provide, including any information about children, and for how your league uses the service. If you add a minor volunteer to a crew, you confirm you have a legitimate basis to do so; that participation is operated by the minor's parent or guardian, who is responsible for it. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy and, for league customers, in a separate data processing agreement.
Fees, renewals, and refunds
Paid plans are billed as an annual term at the pricing shown at purchase, which is based on your league's active-player count. We invoice you for each term — including renewals, which we send in advance of your renewal date — and we do not automatically charge a renewal, so if you choose not to continue you simply don't renew.
If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, we will refund it in full. After that, your plan stays active through the end of the term you have paid for, and fees already paid are not refundable except where required by law or at our discretion. Sponsored ("comped") leagues are not charged. Registration payments that families make go directly to your league's own connected payment account, not to LeagueWaves; cancelling your LeagueWaves plan does not affect those funds.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available and reliable, but we provide it "as is" and may modify, suspend, or discontinue features. We may update these Terms; we will change the version and date above and, where appropriate, ask you to re-agree.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties, and our liability is limited as set out here. [DISCLAIMER AND LIABILITY-CAP LANGUAGE TO BE COMPLETED BY COUNSEL.]
Cancellation and termination
You may cancel at any time from your billing settings or by contacting us. By default your access continues through the end of the term you have paid for; if you ask to close immediately, access is suspended at that point, so we generally recommend letting your current season finish first. If an invoice goes unpaid, we may suspend access after a grace period and contact you to help before any account is closed. We may also suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect the service or its users. Before you leave you can export your league's data; after closure we retain it for a limited period (see the Privacy Policy) and then delete it.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. [DISPUTE-RESOLUTION / VENUE LANGUAGE TO BE COMPLETED BY COUNSEL.]
