Import players from a spreadsheet

Bulk-add players from a CSV instead of entering them one by one.

For league admins

If you already have your players in a spreadsheet, you can bring them all in at once instead of adding them individually. The importer checks your file first and shows you a preview, so nothing is saved until you confirm.

Before you start

Have your player list in a spreadsheet (Excel or Google Sheets both work). You'll save it as a CSV file in a moment — the importer gives you a template so your columns line up.

Steps

  1. Open Players from the Roster menu.
  2. Choose Import to open the importer, then download the CSV template.
  3. Fill the template with your players — one row per player. Keep the header row.
  4. Save it as a .csv file (in Excel or Sheets: File → Save As / Download → CSV).
  5. Back on the import page, upload your .csv and review the preview. Rows with problems are flagged with a reason, and the good rows are still importable.
  6. Fix any flagged rows in your spreadsheet if needed, re-upload, then confirm to finish. The players now appear in Players.

Tips

  • You don't have to get every row perfect. A few bad rows won't block the good ones — you can import the clean rows now and fix the rest later.
  • Assigning players to teams isn't part of the import — do that afterward from Teams or the roster builder.
  • Re-importing the same file won't create duplicates of players who are already in your league.
