Add a player

Create a single player and link a parent or guardian.

For league admins

Adding one player at a time is the quickest way to handle a late signup or a one-off. (For a whole list at once, see Import players from a spreadsheet.)

Steps

  1. Open Players from the Roster menu.
  2. Choose Add player and fill in their details — name, date of birth, and any private medical notes the coach should know (kept to the child's coaches, guardians, and admins). There's a separate, optional food allergies to share with the team field for snack-duty info that teammates' families can see.
  3. Add a parent or guardian with their email. That's who receives invitations, schedules, and updates for this player — a child never logs in themselves.
  4. Save. The player now appears in Players, ready to be placed on a team.

Good to know

  • A player isn't on a team just by existing — assign them from Teams or the roster builder (see Build team rosters).
  • You can add more than one guardian to the same player (for example, two parents in separate households) so everyone stays in the loop.
  • Date of birth drives division eligibility, so it's worth getting right.
